Board Your Pet with the Vet You Trust in Fort Payne

When you’re traveling or away from home, finding reliable care for your pet is important. Not all boarding environments provide the same level of oversight, especially when it comes to recognizing early signs of illness or changes in behavior.

At Fort Payne Animal Hospital, your pet is cared for in a setting where their health and well-being are monitored alongside their daily needs. Our team is trained to observe both behavior and medical concerns, providing an added level of awareness during your pet’s stay. You can trust that your pet will receive attentive care from a team that treats them with the same level of responsibility and consistency expected in a veterinary setting.

When you board your pet with us, they will receive regular walks, and routine monitoring throughout their stay to maintain consistency in their care. We provide daily feeding, administer medications as needed, and are always happy to follow your feeding instructions to help keep your pet on their normal routine.

Important Bordering Information to Know

Boarding drop-off and pick-up hours are available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the facility is closed for drop-off and pick-up on Saturdays and Sundays. While the hospital is closed on weekends, boarding continues 7 days a week, with trained technicians on-site to provide ongoing care. 

Day only boarding is available, though availability may be limited. We recommend calling ahead to reserve a spot and confirm availability.

Our boarding rooms are temperature-controlled for comfort. We provide each pet with food, bowls, and their own bedding to use during their stay. We kindly ask that you do not bring personal bedding with you for health and sanitary reasons. However, please feel free to bring a few small toys to help provide familiarity and comfort to your pet. 

Before you arrive for check-in, we ask that clients complete our Boarding Agreement form in advance.

Boarding for Cats

We offer boarding accommodations for cats in a separate, private room designed to provide a quieter environment. This space allows cats to relax, reduce stress, and settle in more comfortably during their stay.

Boarding for Dogs

Our dog boarding kennels include both indoor and outdoor spaces, giving dogs access to different environments throughout the day. This setup helps keep dogs comfortable while allowing for movement, routine, and a more natural daily experience.

Vaccination Requirements

To help protect all pets in our care, all boarding pets must be up to date on required vaccinations.
